Question: What’s so funny about being at the Civic Center on the first Friday of the month?
Answer: Civic Center LIVE!, a live improvisational comedy show, is presented by the Civic Center and Clapping Monkey Productions.
This show will be loaded with audience interaction where almost anything can (and will) happen! All audience participants will receive prizes for helping out. Modeled after a popular TV show, Civic Center Live! is recommended for a PG-13 audience.
Next month, the show will be held on Friday, May 4 at 8:30 p.m. Doors will open at 7:30 p.m., and a cash bar with munchies will be available from 7:30 to 9:30 p.m. The performance runs for approximately one and a half hours.
Tickets available at the Civic Center Recreation Desk and Community Center, either in person or by credit card over the phone.
The room will be set up caberet-style with cocktail tables, and seating is general admission on first-come, first-served basis.
Tickets cost $10 in advance; $15 at the door. Advance sales end at close of Civic Center business the day before the event. All tickets sold on the day of the event (available at the Civic Center only) will sell at $15 until 9 p.m., subject to availability. (No one will be seated one-half hour after show begins). Tickets will not be sold at the Community Center on the day of the event.
