APPLICATION /TESTING REQUIREMENTS
Prior to being allowed to test for the position of POLICE OFFICER with the City of Port St. Lucie, an individual must meet the following criteria:
1. Good moral character, never convicted of any Felony, or
any Misdemeanor involving moral turpitude.
2. Over age 19
3. Law Enforcement (Military or Civilian) or Corrections experience
desired but not required.
4. Prior or current Military experience desired but not required.
5. College education preferred but not required.
6. Preference will be given to those applicants who have graduated,
or are currently enrolled in a Florida State approved police
academy.
7. Must have U.S. Citizenship.
Starting salary $39,766
$44,566 with experience
We are also looking for Florida certified officers to fill the ranks of our Reserve Unit.
Salary is $19.12 per hour for part time employment
