To honor of the city's 50th Anniversary, a wonderful book detailing the city’s history, entitled “Port St. Lucie at 50: A City for All People,” has been published.
Written by Nina Baranski, former director of the city’s Community Relations Department (now known as the Communications Department), in collaboration with the Port St. Lucie Historical Society, the book was underwritten by Riverside National Bank (now TD Bank), Core Communities, Johnson Bros. (Construction), Suffolk Construction, Torrey Pines, Economic Development Council of St. Lucie County, Port Lucie Downtown Lions Club, Lucille Rieley Rights, Sandpiper Bay Homeowners Association and DPR Construction.
The historical society is taking orders for limited, signed editions of the book for the price of $49.99 plus tax (copies that are not limited, signed editions are available at the price of $39.99 plus tax).
