Floresta Dr speed limit now 35mph
What: Speed limit reduced on Floresta Drive in Port St. Lucie
When: Port St. Lucie City Council approved the speed limit change on April 23, 2018
Where: Floresta Drive from Port St. Lucie Boulevard north to Prima Vista Boulevard
Why: Due to an increase in residential concerns about speeding along Floresta Drive, the City’s Public Works Department conducted multiple speed studies on the corridor between Port St. Lucie and Prime Vista Boulevards. The studies showed the speed limit could be reduced to 35 mph. The new speed limit of 35 mph provides a consistent speed limit along the entire corridor. New speed limit signs have been installed on Floresta Drive, and the City has positioned variable message boards at both ends of the roadway to assist in notifying drivers of the speed limit change. Please note, the temporary construction zone speed limit of 30 mph near Crosstown Pkwy will remain in place until completion of the construction.
