Port St. Lucie Police conducting "Active Threat / S.A.V.E." training; Media invited
On July 11, 2018 at 2:00 pm, Port St. Lucie Police will be conducting "Active Threat" and S.A.V.E. ( Swift Assisted Victim Extraction) training at Renaissance Charter School, located at 300 NW Cashmere Boulevard, Port St. Lucie.
Port St. Lucie Police Department is committed to continual training to best be able to respond to public safety situations. During the training officers will be taught techniques to deal with violent situations that impact large number of people at a single location. Port St. Lucie Police is partnering with St. Lucie County Fire/Rescue to continue cooperative training to provide best services to the citizens of Port St. Lucie in protecting lives and tending to the injured. Also present will be school staff and members of the Port St. Lucie Police Explorers.
Port St. Lucie Police is opening up a portion of this training to local media for interviews and video/photo opportunities. Media should respond to the Renaissance Charter School no later than 2:00 pm.
