Spay and neuter program
The Animal Control Division offers free spay/neuter certificates exclusively for residents of the City. To qualify, the animal owner must:
- Provide proof of residency (e.g. electric or water bill)
- Provide proof of current rabies vaccination, pet also must be at least 6 months of age to qualify for the voucher.
- Have a current city license for the animal. If you don’t one can be purchased at Animal Control for a fee of $15.00.
- Once all the requirements are completed our office will then complete the application and submit it to the Program Facilitator for approval. Once approved you will receive a call from our office letting you know your voucher is ready for pick-up, this takes about 2 weeks. At the time of pick-up you will be issued instructions on how to set up your appointment. Spay and Neuters are done through The Humane Society of SLC, Port St. Lucie shelter located at 8890 Glades Cut-off Rd.
To obtain a voucher, please visit the Animal Control Division at 1133 S.W. S. Macedo Blvd., Port St. Lucie, FL 34983. Please have all the above requirements with you at that time as well.
These certificates are distributed on a "first-come, first-served" basis, with a maximum of 10 certificates being distributed per week.
We will only issue one voucher per household.
