City seeks Plumbing Contractor for Seat on Contractors' Examining Board
The City of Port St. Lucie is accepting applications for a position on the Contractors' Examining Board. The position open is for a plumbing contractor and is a voluntary, unpaid position.
The Board is appointed by the City Council to pass on applications for contractors’ certificates of competency, and to hear complaints against local contractors. The Board consists of seven members and meets on a monthly basis during daytime hours. Members serve for three years and are subject to the provisions of the Sunshine Law.
Applicants shall hold either a current Florida state contractor’s license or a certificate of competency issued by the City of Port St. Lucie and shall also carry valid insurance and Workers’ Compensation (except for non-industry members).
Applicants are requested to submit a brief resume along with the application.
