All plans for single family residences, commercial structures, accessory buildings, additions, fences, screen enclosures, pools, and multi-family residences are reviewed by the Plan Review Division for compliance with current building codes and zoning restrictions.
Plan Reviewers coordinate activities with the St. Lucie County Health Department to be sure health regulations are met and also with the Fort Pierce/St. Lucie County Fire Marshall's Office for compliance with the Life Safety Code.
The Plan Review Division provides technical assistance and code interpretations to architects, builders, home owner builders and home owners.
The Plan Review Division can be reached at 772-871-5132. The Fax number is 772-871-5098. The hours of operation are from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday though Friday. Plans examiners are available between 1:00 p.m and 5:00 p.m.
