The City of Port St. Lucie is accepting applications for two voluntary positions on the Planning and Zoning Board.
Applicants must be residents of the city for at least one year. Members serve on a voluntary basis and are subject to the provisions of the Florida Sunshine Law, which requires board members to file a Statement of Financial Interests.
The position open is for District II.
Some of the duties of the Board are to make recommendations on development proposals, zoning changes, and other matters affecting the physical development of the city. Members also may serve on one or more committees of the Board, which makes recommendations to the City Council.
Completed applications must be submitted to the City Clerk's office at City Hall by 5 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 2. The address is 121 S.W. Port St. Lucie Blvd., Port St. Lucie, Florida, 34984. They can be e-mailed to CHeintz@cityofpsl.com.
Port St. Lucie has several volunteer boards and committees, and the City Council encourages residents to apply whenever openings occur.
