The City of Port St. Lucie is accepting applications until Feb. 8 for a voluntary position on the Planning and Zoning Board.
Some of the duties of the Board are to make recommendations on development proposals, zoning changes, and other matters affecting the physical development of the city. Members also may serve on one or more committees of the Board.
The Board meets once a month and makes recommendations to the City Council.
Applicants must be residents of the city for at least one year. Members serve on a voluntary basis, are subject to the provisions of the Florida Sunshine Law and are required to comply with the financial disclosure law by filing a Form 1 Statement of Financial Interests.
The position open is for the District 4 seat. Applicants must be a member of the District 4 area of the city.
Applicants are requested to submit a brief resume along with the application. Applications must be received by 5 p.m. on Feb. 8, 2010.
