The City of Port St. Lucie is accepting applications for a voluntary, unpaid position on the Contractors’ Examining Board. The Board is appointed by the City Council to review applications for contractors’ Certificates of Competency, as well as to hear complaints against local contractors. The open position is for a consumer member.
The Board consists of seven members who serve three-year terms, and meet on the second Thursday of each month at 10 a.m. Members serve on a voluntary basis and are subject to the provisions of the Florida Sunshine Law.
Application forms are available on-line, at the City Clerk’s office, or by e-mailing a request to CHeintz@cityofpsl.com.
Applicants are requested to submit a brief resume along with the application. Applications must be received by 5 p.m. on Sept. 30, 2010.
Completed applications must be submitted to the City Clerk’s office at City Hall, 121 S.W. Port St. Lucie Blvd., Port St. Lucie, Florida 34984, or they can be e-mailed to CHeintz@cityofpsl.com.
The city has a number of boards and committees, and citizens are encouraged to apply whenever openings occur.
