The City of Port St. Lucie is accepting applications from individuals interested in serving on the city's Keep Port St Lucie Beautiful (KPSLB) Committee. The committee has been established to help with promoting beautification in the city through various programs, including an annual Clean-up Day, Adopt-A-Street program, Landscaping and Beautification Grant program, anti-littering and recycling education.
The committee meets on the first Monday of each month at 3:15 p.m. at City Hall. Members serve on a voluntary unpaid basis. The committee operates under established bylaws, and members are subject to the provisions of the Florida Sunshine Law. Appointments to the committee will be made on the basis of interest or experience in beautification. Membership will, whenever possible, include persons having professional landscape, marketing, educational or fundraising experience.
Applicants should have knowledge of landscaping and beautification projects, and/or anti-litter and blight removal campaigns to enrich the quality of life for all city residents through positive involvement.
Two new members are currently needed.
Applicants are requested to submit a brief resume along with an application. Applications must be received by 5 p.m. on Feb. 29.
Application forms are available online, at the City Clerk's office, or by e-mailing a request to CHeintz@cityofpsl.com.
