In addition to our elegant
ballrooms and outstanding recreation
facilities, the Civic Center offers yet another
opportunity for residents who yearn for a taste of the
eclectic, a thirst for culture or perhaps, just a
sense of "good old community" living.
The Art Gallery, which is beautifully appointed with stately columns and classic woodwork, is a showcase for artists who will exhibit their work on a six-week rotating basis. A reception, free and open to the public and complete with light refreshments and live music, is held in honor of each featured artist on the opening night of their exhibit. This offers patrons the opportunity to meet in person the creative individuals whose works of art are on display.
Our
Village Square, located directly in front of the Civic Center, is the city’s vision of a Port St. Lucie "neighborhood." The square features a massive stage for live musical performances, and is also the perfect spot for food vendors, arts and crafts vendors, and many other merchants to display their wares.
Residents and visitors alike gather at Village Square to join in the fun during the many scheduled concerts, festivals and other events that take place in this wonderful "neighborhood."
If you are a musician and you are interested in performing at one of our Art Gallery receptions or the monthly After 5 Live! or Bach’s Lunch events, please fill out an application form.
Directly bordering the Village Square is a
digitally-controlled interactive water fountain where
children participate in scheduled programs intended to
provide the youth with relief from the warm and sunny
climate that is a staple in Southern Florida.
