Village Square events

After 5 LIVE!Join us year round on the Village Square, the public plaza in front of the Port St. Lucie Civic Center for the following great events. All events are free and open to the public unless otherwise noted.

If you are a musician and you are interested in performing at one of our Art Gallery artist receptions or the monthly After 5 Live! or Bach’s Lunch events, please fill out and submit an application form.

If you have any questions about Village Square events, please feel free to contact us.

After 5 LIVE!

It’s time to sit back, relax and enjoy this free monthly concert series. Music, food, a classic car show and so much more is combined in this night of fun. Bring the whole family out for an enjoyable evening that will leave you feeling refreshed and rejuvenated, just in time to start your weekend. Held the second Friday of every month from 5:30–9:30 p.m. (Please note: After 5 LIVE! is occasionally held on the third Friday of the month if a holiday falls on the second Friday. Sign up for our free weekly e-newsletter, and we’ll notify you each month of the exact date.).

Arts & All That Jazz Festival

Join us as the St. Lucie Professional Arts League celebrates this annual springtime event. Enjoy the festival as nationally known Jazz artists set the mood and local artists and crafters provide the ambiance. Judges will present awards to the best artists as food, fun and friends come together to enjoy a day on the Square.

Bach’s Lunch

Would you like a jazz combo to go with your midday meal? If your ears are hungry for some good music, stop by our lunchtime concert series in the Terrace Lobby of the Center. Bring your own lunch, or buy it from our on-site cafe. This monthly concert series is free and is held on the third Friday of every month from noon to 1 p.m. In October 2009, Bach's Lunch concerts will move to Tuesdays (Oct. 6, Nov. 17 and Dec. 15) from noon to 1 p.m.

Freedomfest

The City of Port St. Lucie’s extraordinary Independence Day celebration kicks off with the annual Freedomfest mile run followed by a colorful parade at 10 a.m. Thousands of people come out every year for the popular event, which features fine arts, woodworking, crafts, vendors, children's activities, dance performances and live music. The day ends with a magnificent fireworks show (weather permitting).

Oktoberfest

The German American Club of the Treasure Coast invites you to experience Oktoberfest, a two-day celebration of German culture, foods, crafts, and entertainment in the Emerald Ballroom of the Civic Center. Authentic German beverages and food, live entertainment and much more. Admission to the indoor event is $5 per person. Children under 12 are admitted for free. Get more information about this event.

Port St. Lucie Green Market at City Center

Support local farmers every Tuesday during season at this event full of tradition, locally grown fruits, vegetables and farm favorites. Join us as we promote regional agriculture and ensure a continuing supply of fresh, local produce for Floridians.

St. Patrick’s Day Festival

The Friendly Sons & Daughters of Ireland invite you to join them in an all day salute to St. Patrick and the Irish Culture. Free admission includes a parade which opens the festivities at 10 a.m., followed by the festival at noon. Traditional Irish cuisine, green beer and other culinary delights will be accompanied by Irish dancing displays and arts and crafts. It's sure to be a fun day for the whole family.
