Recreation Leader
Originally hailing from Sterling Heights, MI, Erin graduated from Central Michigan University with a Bachelors of Art degree in Public Relations. Erin began working at a local pool during her summers in Michigan, and soon discovered her love for Parks and Recreation.
Erin was then given the opportunity to work for seven years with the Oakland County Parks Department, first as lifeguard, then as assistant manager and finally, as manager. Erin enjoyed her personal successes with the Oakland County Parks system. During Erin’s tenure at Oakland County, she was awarded an internship with Walt Disney World where she soon realized that "it doesn't have to be cold eight months out of the year."
Once Erin realized that there were warmer climates available to her, she pursued her goal as she applied for employment in the Sunshine State. Erin found employment in Florida as a Recreation Leader for the City of Port St. Lucie Civic Center where she enjoys planning programs for the special needs residents, teen dances, After 5 LIVE! and much more.
Although Erin’s parents and brothers remain in Michigan, she is fortunate to be able to visit home often. Of her employment with the Civic Center, Erin says that she welcomes the challenges and the joys associated with providing recreational programs that enhance residents’ lives.
