Excitement is building as the first ever Pet Expo draws near. Set for Saturday, Sept. 29 at the Port St. Lucie Civic Center’s Martin Health System Village Square, the event will be held from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Presented by the Humane Society of St. Lucie County and Domenick’s Catering, all proceeds will benefit the society’s Spay and Neuter Program. Bring your pet (on a leash or in a crate), adopt one there or just come with your family for a day of fun!
The Saltwater Cowboy Band will be on stage throughout the day, and a variety of speakers and trainers will provide great information for the pet lovers in the crowd.
The St. Lucie County Sheriff’s Office will present K-9 demonstrations and training tips. There will be a bounce house, water slide and face-painting for the kids, and lots of pet-related and non-pet-related vendors.
Pet owners can also obtain low-cost rabies vaccinations at the Expo, as well as pet licensing from the Animal Control divisions of Port St. Lucie, Fort Pierce or St. Lucie County.
The Port St. Lucie Civic Center is located at 9221 S.E. Civic Center Place, on the corner of U.S. Highway 1 and Walton Road.
