The Port St. Lucie Civic Center will be the setting for a moving Sept. 11 Remembrance Service that will include a special two-week exhibition in the Civic Center's Art Gallery. The Remembrance Service will begin on Tuesday, Sept. 11 at 8:30 a.m. The art exhibit will be on display until Tuesday, Sept. 25.
Organizers of the Sept. 11 Remembrance Service are asking the public to lend photographs and other artwork related to that fateful day that will be displayed in the Art Gallery during the two-week exhibition.
Artwork for the Art Gallery exhibit must be submitted by Friday, Sept. 7.
There is no admission fee for the Remembrance Service or the Art Gallery, and parking is always free. The gallery is open Monday through Friday from 8:15 a.m. to 4:15 p.m. The gallery is closed Saturday and Sunday.
