City seeks parade entries, vendors for Festival of Lights events

The City of Port St. Lucie Parks and Recreation Department is looking for vendors and parade participants for the 2008 Festival of Lights to be held for the first time in front of the city’s new Civic Center on U.S. Highway 1. The festival and parade will be on Saturday, Dec. 6.

These annual events provide a great opportunity for local businesses and organizations to present themselves to thousands of people in a single setting. The cost for a 10-foot by 10-foot display booth is $34.70. Non-profit organizations are provided a booth depending on availability.

Download a parade participant form, and return it by Nov. 28.

Download a vendor application form, and return it by Nov. 21.

Forms can be returned by fax, e-mail or delivered in person to the Community Center on Airoso Boulevard. Fax completed forms to (772) 871-5290, or e-mail them to amacdonald@cityofpsl.com.

Vendors are required to have a valid Florida sales tax number and are responsible for collecting and remitting applicable Florida sales taxes to the Department of Revenue. Sales tax information can be found on the Department of Revenue's Web site. Their phone number is (772) 429-2173.
