Youth ages 6 to 15 are invited to join the fun at the Civic Center on their days off from school, in a program called “After the Bell.” Scheduled to take place on the dates that public schools are closed, “After the Bell” provides arts ‘n crafts projects, sports, game room events and much more. The first “After the Bell” will take place on Monday, Sept. 28 from 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
Each “After the Bell” program will have a theme, with the first being a birthday party. Participants will decorate their own cupcakes and enjoy traditional birthday games.
The cost for “After the Bell” is just $14.35 for each day of attendance. Lunch and snacks are not provided, so students should bring their own. Children will be placed in age-appropriate groups. Space is limited, so pre-registration is required. Parents or guardians may register their children at the Port St. Lucie Community Center, 2195 S.E. Airoso Blvd.; at the Civic Center, 9221 S.E. Civic Center Place (the southeast corner of U.S. 1 and Walton Road); or by calling (772) 807-4470 to request registration via e-mail.
