Join us year-round inside the Civic
Center and on the Martin Health System Village Square, the public plaza in
front of the Civic Center, for great family-friendly
events.
All events are free and open to the public unless otherwise noted.
The Parks and Recreation Department presents a number of other popular recurring and seasonal events at other locations throughout the city. Get details.
Please note that all dates listed below are subject to change. We recommend you check our online calendar before attending any event, as the Web calendar will contain the most current information about a particular event.
If you are a musician and you are interested in performing at one of our Art Gallery artist receptions or the monthly City Fest event, please fill out and submit an application form.
If you have any questions about Civic Center events, please feel free to contact us.
We list recurring events first (in alphabetical order) and then seasonal events (in chronological order).
For $14.35 per child, this program provides a place for children ages 6 to 11 to play on public school scheduled days off. Activities will include: arts and crafts, sports, gameroom events and more. Lunch and snacks are not provided so please bring your own. Children will be divided and placed in age appropriate groups. Preregistration is required as space is limited.

2012 Dates: Held on days that public schools are closed (with the exception of city-wide holidays such as Thanksgiving Day when all city offices/buildings are closed) from 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
Exhibits at the Art Gallery rotate approximately every six weeks. On the opening night of each new exhibit from 6 to 8 p.m., an artist's reception is held with refreshments, live music and an opportunity to meet and greet the featured artist. Free admission

City Fest is held monthly on select Saturdays from 3 to 9 p.m. at Martin Health System Village Square. City Fest features a live band and popular car show, expanded kids' fun zone with carnival rides whenever feasible, loads of business/craft vendors, and occasional performances/exhibitions by community organizations and Civic Center instructors. Admission to City Fest is always free, with plenty of free parking, so gather the family and come out and join in the fun.

Learn the basic salsa steps during our FREE dance lesson at 6:30 p.m. and put it to practice immediately after while the St. Lucie Tropical Jazz Band plays all your favorite Latin rhythms.

Year-round every Monday night of every month. Doors open at 6 p.m.; a free dance lesson will be given at 6:30 p.m. and then the band swings into action at 7:15 p.m. Full liquor cash bar and delicious snacks. The evening features Bacardi drink specials for only $5.
The popular "One Stop Shop Sale" provides local vendors with an opportunity to sell their crafts, wares and food during season on the fourth Sunday of each month from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. on the first floor of the Civic Center parking garage. We've made it easy for you to sign up as a vendor at what is sure to be a popular, and large, garage sale at www.cityofpsl.com. An 8-feet by 10-feet display area is available for $13.31 (including tax) per month.
(Please note: Due to the holidays in December, the One Stop Shop Sale will be held on the third Sunday in that month, December 15.)

Gather up the family and friends and come out to see a new movie release at the Civic Center on the first Saturday of every month at 3 p.m. Admission to the movie is free and popcorn and a drink will be sold for just $2. Registration is not required. A parent or guardian must accompany any children under the age of 8 years. Held in the Civic Center's Multi-purpose Room. Call ahead to find out the feature film.

The always popular Solid Gold Dance Band presents a great night of music and dancing to classic rock from the 60s, 70s and 80s. A full liquor cash bar snack will be available.

We invite you to stop by and enjoy drink, food, fun and fellowship at "Thirsty Thursday" at the Civic Center. This event is held during the summer only on the third Thursday of every month from 5 to 8 p.m. in the Cafe and Front Plaza of the Civic Center.
Local musicians (soloists or duos) are encouraged to be submit an application to perform at this intimate event.

The City of Port St. Lucie’s extraordinary Independence Day celebration. Thousands of people come out every year for the popular event, which features fine arts, woodworking, crafts, vendors, children's activities, dance performances and live music. The day ends with a magnificent fireworks show (weather permitting).
