The live, interactive murder mystery dinner theater event continues at the Civic Center with a new show "Death Aboard the Infamous" on Wednesday, May 16. Earlier murder mystery dinner theatre performances in the series sold out, so we encourage you to buy your tickets early.

This show will also be performed on June 20 and July 18.

Doors open (cash bar) at 6 p.m., and the show begins at 7 p.m. (as dinner is served).

Tickets cost $40 per person and must be purchased in advance either in person at the Community Center or at the Civic Center Recreation Desk, or by credit card over the phone by calling (772) 807-4488 or (772) 878-2277.

Tickets will NOT be sold at the door.

With calm seas and a perfect Caribbean breeze to fill its ample canvas, the sailing ship "Infamous" is underway. The trip should be easy: a quick jaunt from one island to the next. All the passengers are in good spirits and enjoying the gorgeous weather…until someone decides to shoot the Captain's parrot and the First Mate too!

Accompany Mist Shottes, Horace Ryder, Hansal Ovami, Jeri Atrix, Reverend Noah Faith, Dez Parette, and the fearless Captain Nobeard on their journey to discover the scurvy mongrel guilty of this heinous crimes. Take on the role of a sleuth and enjoy a gourmet, multi-course meal as our cast retraces the steps and delivers the clues that will aide you in discovering who killed Mister Purty (the parrot) and the First Mate.

Period attire ("pirate theme") is encouraged but not required. A prize will be awarded for the best costume.

At the end of the show, the lucky audience "sleuths" who correctly selected the murderer will be part of a trivia "showdown" to determine a winner. Prize packages will vary, but they are typically valued at more than $100.

Clapping Monkey Productions is producing the show in partnership with the Civic Center. All the actors are experienced professionals, and live in the Treasure Coast area.

The four-course dinner catered by Domenick's Catering will include salsa and chips, house salad with mango dressing rolls and butter, Mojo Pork, black beans with rice, yucca, and bread pudding for dessert, water and coffee. an alternate vegetarian meal (vegetable and cheese quesadilla) can be ordered by calling (772) 204-7109 until 9 a.m. on Monday, May 14.

Actors weave throughout dining area to perform and visit each table, so there is no table situated better than another. Tables seat 10 persons comfortably. A table number will be assigned to you upon entering. Should your party wish to purchase tickets separately, but sit together, after purchasing tickets, call (772) 807-4497 at least 48 hours prior to event. Please have all names available. If your party is larger than 10, know how you wish to break up your party; we will try to seat everyone at adjacent tables.

The Civic Center is located at 9221 S.E. Civic Center Place, on the southeast corner of U.S. Highway 1 and Walton Road.
