Recreation and events

"Fun, fitness and festivities" is the mantra of the Civic Center, which boasts a full-court gymnasium, four indoor racquetball courts, state-of-the-art fitness center, multi-purpose room, tot room, and game room.

Recreation memberships are available, which include membership to the:

A wide variety of recreational opportunities are available for all ages, including Kinderdance® programs, art history, painting, ballroom dancing, belly dancing, cardio kick-boxing, karate, Pilates, soulful healing, yoga, beading, a financial strategy workshop, and more.

The Civic Center is home to a wide variety of recurring and seasonal events—such as City Fest, Freedom Fest, and the Festival of Light—and also boasts an elegant Art Gallery that hosts free rotating exhibits featuring the work of area artists.

When it's time to cool off, nothing beats the heat like a trip to the Interactive Fountain located in the heart of Martin Health System Village Square outside the Civic Center.
