Community Development Block Grant Annual Report
This Annual Performance Report was submitted by the City of Port St. Lucie and covers the period from Oct. 1, 2007 through Sept. 30, 2008.
The Port St. Lucie Community Services office prepared this report. Please contact Pat Selmer at (772) 871-5283 or Tricia Swift-Pollard at (772) 871-5284, if you have any questions or require further information regarding this report.
The Annual Performance Reports include an Activity Summary, Grantee Performance Report, Summary of Consolidated Plan Projects, Summary of Community Development Accomplishments, and CDBG Financial Summary Report. These reports show all CDBG activities undertaken this past year, the amounts expended and balances available for each project. The final report is the Annual Performance Report Narrative. The narrative summarizes all CDBG activities planned compared to actions taken and includes the housing strategies funded through the SHIP (State Housing Initiatives Partnership) and HHR (Hurricane Housing Recovery) programs. The narrative report provides an opportunity to assess the performance of the city in relation to meeting overall five-year priorities of the Consolidated Plan and the one-year Action Plan. A Performance Measurement Report is also included.
The city received $676,236 in Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) funds for the period of Oct. 1, 2007 through Sept. 30, 2008. Of that, $135,247 was allocated for administration. The remaining $540,989 was allocated to the Ravenswood Community Center Partnership project, but on June 9, 2008 during a public hearing, the money was re-allocated to the Tiffany Avenue sidewalk project. The Tiffany sidewalk project is on the south side of Tiffany Avenue and includes the construction of 1,800 feet of 8-foot wide sidewalk and 325 feet of 4-foot wide sidewalk, connecting existing sidewalk near St. Lucie Medical Center to existing sidewalk near the Tiffany Club Apartments rental community.
