Applications available for Home Purchase Assistance up to $8,000

The City of Port St. Lucie will be offering the Florida Homebuyer Opportunity Program to those who are eligible and need funds up-front in order to purchase a home.

FHOP provides up to $8,000 in purchase assistance to first-time home buyers eligible to receive the federal first-time home buyer tax credit.

Applications may be picked up at the Community Services office, Room 221, Building A, City Hall, located at 121 S.W. Port St. Lucie Boulevard (at the corner of Airoso and Port St. Lucie Boulevards) Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Alternatively, you may download the application from the city’s Web site.

All applications must be returned to the Community Services office in person and by appointment only, no later than Sept. 15.
