City seeks realtors’ listings of foreclosed properties
Posted: March 9, 2009
As a result of $13.5 million in funding allocated to the City of Port St. Lucie by the Department of Housing and Urban Development for a Neighborhood Stabilization Program, city officials are now requesting from realtors their listings of applicable foreclosed single family properties for sale.
The request is the result of HUD’s requirement that the NSP funds be used to acquire, rehabilitate, demolish, and redevelop foreclosed and abandoned residential properties in order to help stabilize neighborhoods.
All property listings submitted must be for homes already foreclosed upon; must be unoccupied for at least 90 days; and must be listed for sale at or below $100,000. The properties must also be located in the City of Port St. Lucie within the targeted areas shown on the attached map.
