Council to review amendment to last year’s CDBG plan

The Port St. Lucie City Council will hold a public meeting May 26 to review a proposed amendment to the Community Development Block Grant Action Plan, which details how the city plans to use federal money to improve local neighborhoods.
The meeting will take place at 7 p.m. during the regular City Council meeting at City Hall.
The city will apply to receive a special Community Development Block Grant allocation of $183,507 in federal money and a public meeting is required. An amendment to the action plan detailing how the city intends to implement the program also is required, and the public is encouraged to comment on the plan.
Hardcopies of the CDBG Action Plan, the Substantial Amendment to the Plan, and a related activity data spreadsheet can all be reviewed at City Hall, Room 221.
The public is welcome to make comments about the plan and amendment at the May 26 Council meeting, and written comments must be received at City Hall by 5 p.m. on May 28. They should be sent to:
