Pink fire trucks are a sight to behold, and they will be rolling into Tradition Square on Saturday, Sept. 18, from 3 to 7 p.m., thanks to the Pink Tie Friends and the Professional Firefighters of St. Lucie County 1377.
The Pink Heals Tour 2010 will feature a Pink Fire Truck Parade at 3 p.m. The trucks are signed by those affected by cancer. The parade will be followed by live music at 4 p.m. Food and beverages will be sold by local vendors and the event will feature a Celebration of Life, car show and lots of fun for the kids, including a bounce house. Admission is free.
Guardians of the Ribbon, dressed in pink fire suits, are driving the pink trucks across the country every year to spread awareness about the fight against cancer. Guardians of The Ribbons is a group of firefighters, police officers and leaders in the community whose purpose is raising awareness for the fight against breast cancer and to inspire men to support the women of their community.
Tradition Square is located at 10489 S.W. Meeting St. in Port St. Lucie. View map.
