A new partnership between the City of Port St. Lucie and Martin Health System will help bring memorable events and performances to the city while ensuring healthy recreational opportunities for adults and children at the Civic Center.
Formerly known as Martin Memorial Health Systems, Martin Health System is now the city’s Naming Rights Partner for the Port St. Lucie Civic Center Village Square. In recognition of the partnership, the outdoor stage in front of the Civic Center has been renamed, “Martin Health System Village Square.”
The three-year partnership was formed under the city’s new Pillar Partner program, designed to offset costs of the Parks and Recreation Department’s programs, events and places, and to raise awareness of the many services Martin Health System provides to local residents.
In becoming the first organization to join the Pillar Program, Martin Health System has been designated as Official Health Care Partner of the Civic Center.
Other terms of the agreement include:
“It’s a natural fit for the city to join forces with Martin Health System, which has a long history of community involvement and has been such an important part of the city’s growth and success over the years,” said Mayor JoAnn M. Faiella. “They have shown us once again their commitment to our residents, and we appreciate all they do.”
Miguel Coty, vice president and chief marketing communications officer for Martin Health, said collaborating with the city is an exciting opportunity for the health system.
“Martin Health has been providing care for Port St. Lucie residents for nearly 30 years and we felt this was a great chance to partner with the city in a way that can benefit many different people,” Coty said.
Martin Health will break ground on a new 90-bed hospital in the Tradition Center for Innovation this spring. The new hospital will be an important anchor in the Tradition biotech cluster, and will help bring an estimated 400 jobs to the region.
