SLC Fire District Contributes $250,000 To Treasure Coast Public Safety Training Complex

The St. Lucie County Fire District recently presented Indian River Community College with a check for $250,000 to help establish the college’s Treasure Coast Public Safety Training Complex.

Construction on the seven-building complex has begun in Ft. Pierce, and IRCC programs in fire science, law enforcement, and homeland security will be housed in the 50-acre, $38 million center.
Vice Mayor Jack Kelly and Councilman Chris Cooper serve on the Fire District’s Board and helped establish the training center. The St. Lucie County Fire District is the fire department that serves residents and businesses of Port St. Lucie.
