Tickets available for “Dixie to the Duke” at Civic Center

The Port St. Lucie Community Concert Band’s next event at the Civic Center is themed “Dixie to the Duke,” and will take place on Thursday, April 2 at 7 p.m. Tickets are required and are now available at the very reasonable cost of $3 for a single ticket or $5 per couple.

Under the direction of Stephen Torick, the concert will be held in the Emerald Ballroom of the Civic Center, 9221 S.E. Civic Center Place (on the southeast corner of U.S. 1 and Walton Road. The concert will showcase Carl Eilenberg, narrating Ernest Thayer’s famous “Casey at the Bat,” which will be set to music by Randal Bass. Also included are Frank Sinatra and Duke Ellington medleys, a Canadian Brass arrangement performed by the band’s brass quintet, an Armed Forces Salute and more.

Tickets may be purchased (cash only) at the Civic Center and the Port St. Lucie Community Center, 2195 S.E. Airoso Blvd., Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. For more information, contact the Civic Center at (772) 807-4488 or the Community Center at (772) 878-2277.
