St. Lucie Film Society introduces “Mr. No Shot"

FORT PIERCE – The St. Lucie Film Society will screen a local independent film at Tradition Town Hall on Thursday, May 1.  Doors are scheduled to open at 7 p.m. and the screening will begin at 7:30 p.m.

The story of a man that has lost everything and stumbles through a life changing journey, Mr. No Shot, was set in many picturesque locations throughout St. Lucie County last summer.  Independent filmmaker and St. Lucie County resident Gary A. Scott held a casting call for Mr. No Shot, his first feature film, last July at the Port St. Lucie Best Western. 

Julian Wright, a Fort Pierce teacher, was cast for the lead.  Some of the new talent featured in the film includes Frank Porpora who plays a detective, DJ Semick who plays a shop mechanic, and Darren Jubert who plays the lead’s son.

The St. Lucie Film Society and the St. Lucie County Film commission work to increase worldwide exposure to St. Lucie County and Port St. Lucie, and to recruit film industry related dollars to the area. They also work with the Economic Development Council to promote tourism.
