Giant wiener on wheels coming to PSL to help Child

Posted: April 11, 2008

The Port St. Lucie Police Department’s Children’s Foundation is inviting the public to participate in a fund-raising event on Sunday, April 13, when the Oscar Mayer Wienermobile will roll into Port St. Lucie to benefit Officer Terry Russell’s son, Zach Russell, who is battling Cystic Fibrosis and is awaiting a lung transplant.

The Wienermobile will pick up Zach from his house and bring him to the Port St. Lucie Police Department, at 121 S.W. Port St. Lucie Boulevard.

From 12 noon until 3 p.m., there will be a car wash ($5 a car), hotdogs and sodas for sale, and a raffle for an hour city tour in the Wienermobile.  Tickets for the raffle will be $5 each or five tickets for $20.  All proceeds will benefit the PSLPD Children’s Foundation.

For more information, call (772) 871-5027.
