This first round is for those at highest risk of contracting the virus. The dates are Saturday, Oct. 24 and Saturday, Nov. 7 from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the St. Lucie County Logistics Center, 3855 South U.S. 1 (site of the former Sam’s Club between Weatherbee and Farmer’s Market roads).

Those eligible to receive the vaccination in this first round are those at highest risk for severe complications from H1N1 (formerly known as the swine flu):

  • Pregnant women
  • People who live with or care for children younger than 6 months of age
  • Health care and emergency medical services personnel
  • People between the ages of 6 months through 24 years
  • People between the ages of 25 through 64 years who are at higher risk

because of chronic health disorders or compromised immune systems.
