The St. Lucie County Health Department has announced the first of several H1N1 vaccination stations for St. Lucie County residents. This first round is for those at highest risk of contracting the virus. The dates are Saturday, Oct. 24 and Saturday, Nov. 7 from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the St. Lucie County Logistics Center, 3855 South U.S. 1 (site of the former Sam’s Club between Weatherbee and Farmer’s Market roads).
Those eligible to receive the vaccination in this first round are those at highest risk for severe complications from H1N1 (formerly known as the swine flu):
because of chronic health disorders or compromised immune systems.
The vaccination campaign will last for several months, and residents will be notified when additional stations are scheduled.
