Next "Coffee with the Mayor" set for Oct. 26

The next "Coffee with the Mayor" event is scheduled for Friday, Oct. 26 at 8:30 a.m. in the Port St. Lucie Community Center on Airoso Boulevard.

"Coffee with the Mayor" is a monthly event that gives citizens a chance to hear Mayor Patricia Christensen’s ideas on timely topics and ask questions about issues of personal interest. 

Typically, at "Coffee with the Mayor," Mayor Christensen talks about her vision for the city, and uses the forum to keep people as informed as possible on important issues.  She says the steady turnout of residents is a good sign that people want to be involved with local government.

"It’s encouraging to see so many people who want to be a part of all the great things happening in our community, and I really appreciate their ideas and suggestions," Christensen said.

The event is sponsored each month by the St. Lucie County Chamber of Commerce, which coordinates with various businesses, groups and associations.
