The Port St. Lucie Police Department is proud to announce the 26th Annual National Night Out on Tuesday, August 4, from 4 to 7 p.m. at Tradition Field.
Port St. Lucie will join countless communities all across the nation to heighten awareness of crime and drug prevention; generate support for and participation in local anti-crime efforts; strengthen neighborhood spirit; and form partnerships between Port St. Lucie police and the community.
In addition, ShredAssured, a Florida firm that specializes in the secure destruction of confidential data, has offered their equipment free of charge. Residents can bring documents to National Night Out, drop them in the shredder, and watch a video monitor that shows the shredding process. No one else handles the documents, and participants are secure in knowing their papers are forever destroyed and cannot be used by criminals for fraudulent purposes.
Immediately following National Night Out, the St. Lucie Mets will play the Sarasota Reds, and the evening will be capped off with a fantastic fireworks display.
Join your neighbors at this great event, and help send the message that Port St. Lucie neighborhoods are organized in preventing crime.
