Port St. Lucie giving native trees to residents on Oct. 27

Oct 19, 2007

The Keep Port St. Lucie Beautiful committee will give away native trees to city residents on Sat., Oct. 27 from 8 a.m. to noon outside the county government building at 1664 Walton Road.

By giving away an assorted variety of trees that are native to Florida, the KPSLB Committee hopes to protect the native plants for future generations and encourage public awareness about the need to maintain Port St. Lucie’s natural attractiveness.

I.D. is required to show city residency and one tree per household will be distributed.  The committee recommends early arrival. For more information call 871-5148.
