List for low income homeowners who need repair/rehabilitation assistance to be created

The city's Community Services Department will be establishing a list of low income homeowners who need repair/rehabilitation assistance for their primary residence beginning on Nov. 5 until Nov. 9, 2012.

Funding is available for correction of code enforcement violations (including failed or failing culverts) and/or health and safety issues such as leaking roofs and non-functioning A/C or electrical systems or repair replacement of windows or doors that are broken or not working properly. This funding will be secured with a deferred mortgage loan that provides for forgiveness each year. No payments are required and no interest is charged.

The Community Services Department will contact each homeowner in the list order (as funding allows), asking them to pick up, complete an application and to make an appointment to begin the application process.
