Port St. Lucie Current Roadway Projects

 

Becker Road Widening Improvements

• This is for the surveying, engineering, design, permitting and bidding of the widening of Becker Road from the proposed Interchange at I-95 to the Florida Turnpike.

• Revised design contract pending approval.

 

 

 

Crosstown Parkway – 2nd Segment

• This segment runs from Bayshore Boulevard to Manth Lane.
• This segment includes landscaping, decorative lighting, multi-use paths, and up to 6’ high berms.
• Traffic signals will be located at Bayshore, Airoso, and Sandia Drives.
• Construction is 60% complete.

 

 

Crosstown Parkway – 4th Segment

This segment runs from the proposed Interchange at I-95 to Cashmere Boulevard.
This segment includes landscaping, decorative lighting, multi-use paths, and 6’-8’ high berms.
Construction is 20% complete. 

 

Floresta Drive Widening Improvements

• This is for the surveying, engineering, design, permitting and bidding of the Floresta Drive Widening Improvements to a 4-lane roadway section. The project runs from Southbend Boulevard to Port St. Lucie Blvd. (Phase 1), and from Port St. Lucie Blvd. to Thornhill Dr. (Phase 2).
• Phase 1 of the project has recently commenced design.

 

 

I-95/Becker Road Interchange

• New tight diamond Interchange at I-95 and Becker Road.
• Construction is 32% complete.
• Estimated construction completion is August 2009.

 

 

 

 

I-95/Crosstown Parkway Interchange – 5th Segment

• New tight diamond Interchange at I-95 and Crosstown Parkway.
• Includes FDOT Bridge Deck replacement on I-95.
• Construction is 20% complete.
• Estimated construction completion is October 2009.

 

 

I-95/Gatlin Boulevard Interchange Improvements

• This project includes the construction of additional north and south bound exit ramp lanes and new mast arm signals at the I-95 and Gatlin Blvd. Interchange. It also includes the widening of Gatlin Blvd. from 4 to 6 lanes out to Village Parkway.
• Ramp widening construction is complete.
• Signal and widening construction is to commence in May 2008.

 

 

Rosser Blvd. Improvements

• This project is for the widening of Rosser Boulevard from a 2-lane section with swale drainage to a 4-lane divided roadway with underground drainage, sidewalks, signalization, signing and pavement markings, lighting, and landscaping.
• Project is under construction with an estimated construction completion date of June 2008.

 

Third East/West River Crossing
(a.k.a. Crosstown Parkway – Segment 1)

• This is the Federalized portion of the Crosstown Parkway ultimately from Manth Lane to U.S. Highway 1.
• Undergoing PD&E Study process.

 

 

Village Parkway Phase I: Gatlin Blvd. to Torrey Pines

• This is the construction of the first phase of Village Parkway. This segment runs from Torrey Pines Institute for Molecular Studies entrance to Tradition Parkway. The project will include sidewalks on both sides and the installation of water and waste water mains and irrigation trunk lines.
• Estimated completion date is July 2008.
