Get Your Park on Challenge!
The City’s Parks & Recreation Department has come up with a fun, new way residents and visitors can explore the City this summer: Visit six eligible Parks & Recreation locations in one week and earn a prize.
Those who accept the challenge to “get your park on” can scan a QR code at each of the eligible locations and upload a photo by the park or facility sign of each location. Participants must do this at six separate locations within one week to earn a prize.
The City’s Get Your Park On Challenge will run from June 4 to Aug. 10, 2018.
The eligible locations are:
- The Port St. Lucie Community Fitness and Wellness Center, 2195 SE Airoso Blvd.
- The Humana Fitness & Wellness Center at the PSL Civic Center, 9221 SE Civic Center Place
- Lyngate Park, 1301 SE Lyngate Dr.
- Sandhill Crane Park, 2355 SE Scenic Park Dr.
- Whispering Pines Park, 800 SW Darwin Blvd.
- Jessica Clinton Park, 3200 SE Southbend Blvd.
- Charles E. Ray Park, 5626 NW Manville Dr.
- Sportsman’s Park, 201 NW Prima Vista Blvd.
- The Port St Lucie Botanical Gardens, 2410 SE Westmoreland Blvd.
- McCarty Ranch Preserve, 12525 Range Line Rd.

Even our long-term residents might be surprised to learn that Port St. Lucie boasts almost 40 unique parks and recreational facilities, all offering endless opportunities to relax, play, exercise, learn, or enjoy the Florida sunshine.
The Parks and Recreation Department is also proud to facilitate a variety of special events that our residents look forward to year round. In connection with these events and other activities sponsored by the department, we have a number of great sponsorship and volunteer opportunities available to businesses and individuals alike.
We've made it easy for you to browse online for classes and programs offered by the Parks and Recreation Department. You can also register and pay for classes and programs online, or if you prefer, come into one of our recreational facilities and a staff member will be glad to assist you.
The City of Port St. Lucie is proud of its beautiful and extensive park system, with almost 40 parks and recreational facilities that offer a wide variety of leisure activities to residents and visitors of all ages. The City operates several recreation facilities, which are available to rent, and offer residents unique recreational, educational and cultural opportunities. Many of the programs and events at these facilities are free and open to the public. Free WiFi is available at Rivergate, Lyngate and Sportman's Parks, as well as the Community Center, Civic Center, and Minsky Gym.
