Due to overwhelming response our Saturday, August 25th Event is fully booked. We have added an additional day for pet owners in the City of Port St. Lucie to take advantage of this event. Please register today to book your pet's spay/neuter for Sunday, August 26th. 

City of Port St. Lucie Animal Control Division Pet Outreach Event

Port St. Lucie Animal Control is partnering with Operation SOS to provide FREE spay and neuter services for pet owners who reside in the City of Port St. Lucie.

Limited space is available so pre-registration is required.  Please see the requirements below and fill out the form today to reserve your spot. 

Event Information
Date, Time & Location
  • Date/Time: August 25, 2018 (fully booked) 
  • Date/Time: August 26, 2018 (be present with your pet between 8 a.m. - 9 a.m.)
  • Location: Lyngate Dog Park Entrance, located 1301 SE Lyngate Dr. Port St. Lucie, FL. 34952
Requirements
  • Rabies vaccine and City of Port St. Lucie pet license are required for all pets using this service
  • Please bring your pet(s) current rabies paperwork and City License tag the day of surgery
  • If your pet does not have a current rabies vaccine one will be done at the time of surgery for a fee of $10 payable to Operation SOS.
  • If your pet does not have a current City license and your either provided proof of current rabies vaccine or your pet received one the day of surgery you will receive a City license when picking up your pet. A fee of $5 will be required and payable to City of Port St. Lucie.
Client Qualifications Pet owners must show proof of residence with form of ID, Drivers License, Utility Bill, car registration, etc.
Pet Qualifications
  • Between 2 lbs and 80 lbs of weight
  • Between 4 months and 10 years of age
  • Males must have both testicles desended
  • Dogs must be presented on a leash
  • Cats must be in a carrier
Items to Consider before making an appointment
  • You must be at the van with your pet between 8 a.m. and 9 a.m.
  • You must be available to pick up your pet at 4 p.m.
  • You must be able to confine your pet for 10 days post-surgery and monitor the incision site
Day of Surgery
  • No breakfast for patients the day of surgery 
  • Water is allowed
  • Long walk for dogs
  • Leave your pet in the car (with AC on) until you are checked in
Additional Services provided by Operation SOS for a fee of $10 per service
  • Microchip
  • Distemper
  • E-collar
  • Please let the technician know at time of check-in if you would like any of the additional services.
