|Please note that in order to access our online job application, |
you must first familiarize yourself with the instructions on this page.
The City of Port St. Lucie requires that all applications for posted job openings be submitted electronically using our online application form. For your convenience, computer kiosks are located in the lobby of City Hall and the Community Center for use by applicants who do not have access to a computer.
The online application itself is a fillable PDF that contains blank fields that you fill in using your computer keboard.
After completing the application, you will have the option of electronically attaching a resume. When you press the "Submit" button at the bottom of the online job application, you will be given two options (depending on what type of email service you use) to attach a resume, or any other documents, when you transmit the application.
After completing the online job application, click on the "Submit via Email" button at the bottom of the application.
The "Select Email Client" dialogue box will open. If your default email program is Outlook or something similar, select the "Desktop Email Application" button, and then click "OK."
If you are using an Internet-based email service (such as Gmail, Yahoo or Hotmail) to send your application, please skip to the instructions below.
A dialogue box will notify you that Acrobat is attempting to send the application through your email. Click "Yes" to continue.
Your default email program will launch and a new email message will open, with your job application attached.
Click the "Attach" button if you have any other documents (such as a resume) you would like to include with your application. Click "Send" and you are done.
Go to the bottom of this page and let us know that you've read the instructions so you can proceed to the online application.
With the "Select Email Client" dialogue box open, select the button next to "Internet Email." (Choosing this option will require you to save a copy of the job application to your computer.) Click "OK."
When the "Send PDF Data As" dialogue box opens, choose a name for the file and location and a location on your computer where you will easily be able to locate it. Click "Save."
Next, open your Internet-based email service and create a new email message as you normally would addressed to email@example.com.
Attach the saved job application to the email, along with any other documents (such as your resume) you would like to include, and then send the email.
