Meetings and special events

The Keep Port St. Lucie Beautiful Committee meets at 3 p.m. on the first Monday of each month at City Hall. These meetings are open to the public. Check the city's public meetings calendar for room and to confirm time and date.

The KPSLB Committee plans various public events to build environmental awareness and encourage volunteer efforts for litter pick-up, landscape beautification, and the proper disposal of household chemicals. These events are listed here in chronological order.

Wholesale Tree Sale

Event info: The city has a year-round wholesale tree buying program, and periodically holds point-of-sale events at the Botanical Gardens. Samples of trees offered for sale (year-round over the phone or at in-person tree sales) are on display year-round at the Botanical Gardens.

Annual Cleanup Day

Event info: This popular annual event attracts several hundred people every year who want to make an effort to reduce litter in public areas and improve the natural environment of the city. Volunteers are transported from the Civic Center to various public areas throughout the city for clean-up.

KPSLB Night at Digital Domain Park

Event info: Fans who bring two nonperishable food items (as a donation to the Treasure Coast Food Bank) get a free ticket to the St. Lucie Mets game that night.

Plant-a-Tree, Spread-the-Shade Tree Giveaway

Event info: By giving away an assorted variety of trees that are native to Florida, the KPSLB Committee hopes to protect native plants for future generations and encourage public awareness about the need to maintain Port St. Lucie’s natural beauty. Trees are given away on a first-come, first-served basis. Limit: one tree per household.

Household Hazardous Waste Collection Day
