Show off the pride in your property by entering the Neighborhood or Business Beautification contests

Port St. Lucie residents and business owners who take great pride in the appearance and maintenance of their properties once again have the opportunity to be formally recognized for their efforts by the Keep Port St. Lucie Beautiful Committee.

Do you have the most beautiful yard in your neighborhood? Has your neighbor worked hard at producing the most attractive landscaping on your block? Does your business’ landscaping attract compliments and customers?

If the answer is yes, it’s time to nominate yourself or your neighbor for the Neighborhood or Business Beautification programs sponsored by the city’s Keep Port St. Lucie Beautiful Committee.

Deadline for nominations is Thursday, Sept. 30.

Winners of both contests will receive an official Beautification Award sign to be displayed on their property for 3 months. Winning properties will also be shown on the city’s Web site and on PSL-TV20 and the winning resident and business owner will be awarded a one-year membership to the Port St. Lucie Botanical Gardens. In addition, a beautiful tree, native to Florida, will be awarded to the winners. The winner of the Business Beautification Award will also win a one-year membership to the St. Lucie County Chamber of Commerce, a prize valued at $385, and $1,000 worth of free advertising, courtesy of Clear Channel Radio. The winner of the Neighborhood Beautification Award will win a one-year membership to Sam’s Club.
