Sheriff’s inmates help Keep Port St. Lucie Beautiful
Posted: April 6, 2009
On the third Friday of every month, for approximately six hours, the St. Lucie County Sheriff’s Office provides non-violent inmates to Port St. Lucie for the purpose of removing litter in pre-designated, non-residential areas of the city.
Of course, the substantial reduction in litter throughout the city this year would not have been possible without the cooperation and enthusiasm of our citizens, whether through their participation in programs such as Port St. Lucie’s Clean-Up Day, or through their own personal efforts at litter reduction.
We encourage all of you to stay active in the fight against litter so we can “Keep Port St. Lucie Beautiful.”
