City seeks volunteer for Keep Port St. Lucie Beautiful Committee

The City of Port St. Lucie is accepting applications for a voluntary, unpaid position on the Keep Port St. Lucie Beautiful Committee. The Committee has been established to help with promoting beautification of the city through various programs, including its annual clean-up day, adopt-a-street program, landscaping and beautification grants, and anti-littering initiative.
The Committee meets twice a month. The Committee operates under established bylaws and must comply with Sunshine Law provisions. Appointments to the Committee shall be made on the basis of interest or experience in beautification of the city. Membership shall, whenever possible, include persons having professional landscape, marketing, educational or fundraising experience.
Applicants should have a strong desire for landscaping and beautification projects, anti-litter and blight removal campaigns, and to enrich the quality of life for all city citizens through positive involvement.
