Currently this is the third location for city hall.

The first city hall was located on Morningside Blvd. and was a smaller building. The second city hall was eventually relocated and the building was destroyed.

City Hall is the venue for most public meetings and was the location for many years of the annual Christmas tree lighting ceremony, which is now held at the Civic Center.
