P.A.L. Offers Variety of Summer Activities for Kids

The Port St. Lucie Police Athletic League is inviting kids to come out for a summer of fun and learning activities that includes camps, classes and events for boys and girls of many interests.

There will be tee-ball and baseball camps, boxing, basketball and football camps, as well as a self-defense course taught by the police department’s “Radkids” instructors.  Kids also can sign up for a fishing clinic on the basics of bass fishing, the best techniques, how to tie knots, and how to use lures.

Other exciting activities include an eight-week dance sampler – including ballet, tap, jazz, hip-hop, and musical theater by Kimberly’s School of Dance Education, and two hands-on science project classes taught by City Councilwoman Michelle Berger.

The P.A.L. building is at 2101 S.E. Tiffany Avenue, about half way between Village Green Drive and Lennard Road.

For more details about dates, times and costs, call the Police Athletic League at (772) 398-9436 or click here for links to specific details about each activity and camp.
