30th annual Kids’ Fishing Tournament set for Aug. 18 at the Rotary Park

This free event will be held at the P. A. L. Building at Rotary Park on Saturday, Aug. 18. for kids ages 5 to 14 years old.

The times are as follows:

• 5 to 9 year-olds register at 7:30 a.m. and fish from 8 to 9 a.m.
• 10 to 14 year-olds register at 9 a.m. and fish from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m.

Adults must accompany all children under the age of 8. Please use single hook lures only and bring eye protection against hooks and poles. Recommended bait is bread, chicken liver or shiners.

This event is sponsored by the City of Port St. Lucie Parks and Recreation Department, Police Athletic League, Port St. Lucie Angler's Club and Savanna Fishing Club.
