Port St. Lucie City Manager Greg Oravec, along with representatives of the city’s police and parks and recreation departments, will hold a public workshop about park safety Friday, April 13 at the city’s Community Center at 6 p.m. The public and members of the news media are encouraged to attend.
City officials will share proposed procedures with the public and will seek feedback about safety in all city parks. The March 14 shooting near Sportsman's Park prompted a renewed look at park safety and the city would like to consider input from park users and interested members of the public.

The Community Center is across the street from City Hall, at 2195 S.E. Airoso Boulevard.
