The City of Port St. Lucie's 7th Annual Fall Festival is set for Wednesday, Oct. 29 and runs through Sunday, Nov. 2 at Tradition Field in St. Lucie West.
Throughout the festival there will be live music, carnival rides and activities for the whole family, and local vendors will sell various cuisine and carnival favorites. There will be an Arts and Craft Show each day, and the city’s police department D.A.R.E. program will host the popular Haunted House nightly.
Thursday night will feature a live Latin band. On Friday, the annual costume contest begins at 6 p.m. with registration and judging continuing until 8 p.m. Winners will be announced at 8:15 p.m. All ages are invited and awards will be given for most creative, scariest, cutest, and for the best family for those that dress in theme.
Also Friday, the police department will open the Trick-or-Treat Tent at 6 p.m. It will stay open until the candy is gone. At 8 p.m. The Showcase Band, featuring teen heart throb Gary-Z, will perform until midnight.
On Saturday afternoon, the Boys and Girls Club of St. Lucie County will offer free kids activities on Saturday and Sunday from 1 to 4 p.m., and the March of Dimes Bikers-for-Babies Poker Run will end at the festival. There will be silent and live auctions, and hundreds of motorcycles from will be on display. Flashback will perform live from 2 to 6 p.m., and from 6 to 8 p.m. COAST 101.3 will host a Guitar Hero talent show with prizes for three age categories. From 8 to 11:30 pm., T-Lo and All That will perform live.
Parking is $5 per carload Thursday through Sunday, and the fee to enter the haunted house is $4. The event benefits the Boys and Girls Club of St. Lucie County, PSL Downtown Lions Club Programs, Big Brother Big Sisters, Exchange Club C.A.S.T.L.E. and other charities.
